Medical Tourism
Medical tourism is growing in the Czech due to the low cost of high quality procedures, short flights from the United Kingdom, and the fact that the country is already a popular tourist destination. Most cosmetic and dental procedures are performed in clinics located in Prague, and often at savings up to 60% compared to the United Kingdom and United States.
The lower cost of living in the Czech leads to lower surgery costs without compromising quality. In the Czech cosmetic surgeons are highly qualified and strictly controlled. All surgeons attend medical school for a minimum of six years. All surgeons must be licensed and certified before performing surgeries.
The Czech Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CSAS) only admits fully qualified plastic surgeons who have guaranteed competence, a high level of expertise, and Surgeons continuing their aesthetic surgery education. The CSAS is linked to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and the International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS). The Czech Medical Chamber (CMC) oversees that the medical profession adheres to high quality standards and strict ethics. The Czech Ministry of Health is the government organization that regulates general conditions and oversees the appeal cases of malpractice. |
